How old is Armor All?
Armor All was invented in 1962 by polymer chemist Joe Palcher. Joe created a product that would protect rubber, plastic, and vinyl from damage caused by UV radiation and ozone. It wasn't until 1966 that Joe found a market for his product when an auto shop owner persuaded him to bottle and sell this “miracle formula”.
Is Armor All a good brand?
The bottom line is that Armor All is a great product but isn't my preferred choice. Be sure you're not using a product with silicones or petroleum distilates. They can accelerate the drying and cracking of plastics and rubber inside and outside of your car.

How do I get rid of Armor All?
You can either use a good all-purpose-cleaner or you can make your own. If you want to make your own you can make a mixture of about two quarts of warm water, one and a half cups of white vinegar, and one teaspoon of dish soap. This or an all-purpose-cleaner is great for removing Armor All.
